Salary: $40,000–$55,000 Southern FS is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Marion, IL. In this role, you’ll support business growth by performing general accounting tasks including purchase receipt entry, invoicing, journal entries, and monthly financial reporting. You'll work closely with leadership to analyze data, prepare reports, and assist with internal audits * What You’ll Do:* * Enter purchase receipts, match invoices, and process payments * Prepare and post journal entries * Reconcile accounts and maintain general ledger accuracy * Support monthly reporting and profit/loss statements * Conduct audits and analyze financial data for trends * What We’re Looking For:* * Associate degree in Accounting or Business (Bachelor’s preferred) * 2+ years of accounting experience (internships count!) * Strong attention to detail and Excel skills * Familiarity with GAAP is a plus * Why Work With Us?* * We offer a fully funded pension, 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision insurance, generous PTO, paid holidays, and a variety of wellness and supplemental benefits.
