    Minimum qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

    + 13 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, performing statistical analysis, and coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL) (or 10 years work experience and a Master's degree).

    + 5 years of experience as a people manager within a technical leadership role.

    At Play DSA, we work on a variety of challenging data science projects to drive product and go-to-market decisions for Play.

     

    The Play Apps team mission is to become trusted experts across our entire Apps content catalog to provide immeasurable value, for both users & developers, across the entire App lifecycle, from development and discovery, through long-term engagement and user engagement, adding value every step of the journey. As the leader of the Apps DSA team, you will help shape the future of the experiences we build for individuals and developers around the world. You will lead a large team of Data Scientists located in the US and India in providing insights and expertise that help Apps Product and GTM teams take the right decisions to delight users, grow our business, and deliver RoI for our developer partners. In doing so, you will act as a thought partner to the GM of Play Apps and their cross-functional leadership team.

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $227,000-$320,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.     + Perform analysis utilizing relevant tools (e.g., SQL, R, Python). Direct projects that combine analytical and organizational complexity towards clear, sound, and actionable decisions.

    + Own projects end-to-end, covering problem definition, metrics development, data extraction and manipulation, visualization, creation, implementation of analytical/statistical models, and presentation to stakeholders.

    + Oversee the integration of cross-functional/organizational project/process timelines, drive improvements and recommendations, and define operational goals and objectives.

    + Identify key areas of focus for the team based on the short/medium/long-term goals of the games business and its loyalty program. Distill these areas of focus into projects, and obtain buy-in for them from the stakeholder group.

    + Mentor and manage junior data scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
