• Staff Nurse (RN) - Addiction Medicine

    *_SUMMARY:_*

    We are currently seeking a*Staff Nurse*to join our Addiction Medicine Clinic.

     

    This position is a 0.9 FTE (9 shifts/ pay period), 8-hour shifts, Day/Evening, Every Other Weekend.

     

    *RESPONSIBILITIES:*

    Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Relationship-Based Care practice model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

    * Protecting, promoting wellness and optimizing health

    * Triaging patients by assessing severity of symptoms and referral to appropriate setting or level of care

    * Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response

    * Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others

    * Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

    * Educating patient on their disease process

    * Assuring continuity of care

    * Educating patient and family in preventative care which promotes health and well being

    Minimum Qualifications:

    * 1 year of experience in an ambulatory clinic setting

    * Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

    * Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

    Preferred Qualifications:

    * Experience with Addiction Medicine

    * Care coordination experience

    * Certification in area of clinical specialty

    * BSN Preferred. Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.//
