What You Can Expect
The Supply Planner is responsible for the supply planning, procurement, and management of orders of medical devices and services from approved suppliers in alignment with forecasted net requirements. This role ensures cost, inventory, delivery, and service targets are met or exceeded through day-to-day supply chain management techniques in conjunction with identified improvement projects. This role interfaces with the Quality, Engineering, Marketing and Finance departments to align on and achieve organizational objectives.
How You'll Create Impact
+ Assess supplier capability, capacity, and cost to allocate annual spend to qualified suppliers optimizing service, quality, and cost.
+ Review net requirements against supply and demand; manage open order exceptions; negotiate price, delivery, and terms with external contract-manufacturing and other supply partners; place and manage purchase orders.
+ Regularly review KPIs; develop and execute strategies to address unfavorable results. Lead supplier quarterly business reviews.
+ Manage basic and advanced planning parameters to ensure optimal net requirements planning.
+ Create and maintain kit build schedule, sterile processing orders and UDI schedule based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels.
+ Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure capacity and resources are aligned with the plan.
+ Collaborate with procurement to avoid material shortages or excess inventory, ensure availability of raw materials and components needed for production.
+ Analyze and monitor in-house production capacity (machines, labor, etc.) and recommend adjustments when needed.
+ Review and release manufacturing orders, track work orders through the production cycle.
+ Communicate delays, changes, or issues in the production schedule.
+ Identify and close business process gaps; resolve bottlenecks or process inefficiencies collaborate with stakeholders to drive business process improvement for planning, procurement, and
+ inventory.
+ Monitor work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, and raw material inventory levels.
+ Plan contingencies for supply disruptions, equipment breakdowns, or labor shortages.
+ Lead regular supplier production reviews to ensure needed capacity and on-time delivery.
+ Support new supplier qualification activities.
+ Act as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments such as Production, Procurement, Sales, Logistics, Engineering, Quality, and Finance.
+ Visit existing and potential supplier facilities to evaluate manufacturing processes, capabilities, recent investments, potential for growth, performance trends, etc.
+ Other duties as assigned.

Your Background
+ Four-year Degree (B.S/B.A.) preferred, may accept prior supply chain experience in lieu of degree
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in related field such as supply planning, purchasing, or supply chain required, preferably in medical device environment, may accept prior military service in leadership positions in lieu of specific supply chain experience
+ APICS CSCP/CPIM certification preferred.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including advance level Excel skills.
+ Support lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen initiatives.
+ Highly effective communication skills.
+ Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
+ Experience working with detailed product line forecasts; familiarity with Sales & Operations business management process.
+ Demonstrated success in driving process improvement.
+ Strong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and time management skills with attention to detail.
+ Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately and handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with various cross functional teams.
+ SAP ECC or S4 experience preferred to plan and monitor production.
+ Previous medical device experience preferred.
Travel Expectations
Up to 25% overnight travel
