    The QA Lab Technician independently conducts quality control inspections to ensure Company products adhere to established specifications, and calibrates and standardizes laboratory equipment/instruments. QA Technicians provide direction to manufacturing on batch adjustments.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    EXPERIENCE:

    SKILLS:

    + Inspects manufactured products against the specifications provided by the Research and Development Laboratory.

    + Inspects incoming raw materials against the specifications provided by the Research and Development Laboratory or suppliers as needed.

    + Takes action and provides direction to adjust batches that might not be provided on the QA test sheet.

    + Standardizes all laboratory instruments and other equipment.

    + Enters data into the computer regarding chemical contents of Company products.

    + Organizes the chemical processing paperwork and documentation.

    + Observes and researches past trends and relays information to correct departments in order to achieve continual improvement.

    + Processes branch returns and old products for rework, return to stock, repack, or disposal, as appropriate.

    + Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required.

    + College level knowledge of chemical properties, analyses, and fundamentals typically acquired through the attainment of an associate's degree in chemistry or the equivalent gained through experience and post-high school classes or training.

    + A working level knowledge in the use of a personal computer and related Microsoft Office software applications.

    + QC testing and inspections including equipment calibrations is a plus

    + Must have fluent English-language skills.

    + Be able to lift 50 pounds, with or without assisting equipment.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Good analytical, administrative, mathematical, organizational, problem solving, and oral and written communication skills.
