Summary
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Director of Booking for ASM Global Jacksonville. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the scheduling and booking of VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and supporting the scheduling and booking at all other ASM Global Jacksonville venues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Oversee the scheduling and booking of the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, as well as provide support for scheduling and booking at the Performing Arts Center of Jacksonville, Ritz Theater and Museum, EverBank Stadium, Prime Osborn Convention Center and all other ASM Jacksonville venues.
+ Establish relationships with key touring industry professionals, including agents, managers, promoters and producers.
+ Manage event-booking calendar, including adding, editing and/or removing events and event holds, and responds to building availability requests in a timely manner.
+ Research and prepare marketing data that supports the booking efforts for specific artists, shows and events
+ Maintain databases for current offers, contracts and venue calendars as well as all other information relating to the daily operations of the facilities.
+ Obtain information from various agencies on talent availability for events.
+ Distribute booking sheets and show related information to personnel.
+ Contact prospective promoters, agents, managers and individuals to initiate the sales effort.
+ Follow-up on leads generated by outside sources for events of all types.
+ Compile bid and sales proposals for the facilities for events of all types.
+ Negotiate favorable booking agreements for events at all venues.
+ Develop new contracts, renewal contracts, addendums and monitor all contract compliance and fulfillment.
+ Prepare Use License Agreements and tracks contracts and event insurance certificates.
+ Develop and execute in-venue event concepts aligned with the company’s brand and audience.
+ Assist with the research development and execution of ASM – produced special events.
+ Lead the creation and execution of the backstage experience for the artist and touring crew.
+ Support ASM Marketing Services and initiate enhancement in business processes and technology platforms to improve ticket sales, reduce costs and support guest experience.
+ Collaborate with directors and senior leadership of all six venues in the Jacksonville portfolio. Collaborate with the City of Jacksonville, Tourism Bureau (Visit Jax), and others to secure new events for the City.
+ Coordinate logistics, including contracts, marketing plan, schedules, and event setup in collaboration with internal departments and external clients.
+ Prepare statistics, reports and budget presentations for senior management and the City.
+ Provide updated forecasting information as needed.
+ Act as the main liaison between facility and outside interested parties and provide high level of service to key venue stakeholders and tenants, including the Icemen, Jumbo Shrimp, Sharks, and mainstay tours and family shows.
+ Responsible for administration of customer service and client and client satisfaction programs and surveys.
+ Remain current on national trends in industry and local market changes that affect the Facility.
+ Provide on-going marketing and PR support and service to existing clients.
+ Oversee the creation and delivery of executive reports and presentations for senior level leadership.
+ Operate the department with a conscious commitment to maximum exposure to the facilities and its events, through the most effective and efficient means possible.
+ Provide strategic support of ticketed events marketing plans, to include all available services related to group sales, public relations, media placement, promotional development, etc.
+ Represent ASM in meetings, trade shows, conference calls for events, community outreach and be active in IEBA and other industry associations.
+ Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws.
+ Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
+ Maintain excellent working relationship with all venue management and finance.
+ Plan social and sales functions as may be necessary from time to time.
+ Represent the General Manager as may be necessary.
+ Other duties as assigned.

+ Demonstrate knowledge of principles, practices and terminology of touring concert industry and booking.
+ Must have established relationships with Agents, Managers and Promoters.
+ Demonstrated ability to book live entertainment.
+ Strong background in marketing and promotion of live events.
+ Must have attention to detail.
+ Must have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills necessary for planning and directing coverage at events.
+ Must have superior customer service skills.
+ Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

+ Must have strong financial skills including the ability to prepare, analyze and operate the Arena budget with the overall Jacksonville operating budget.
+ Must have a high aptitude for financial event analysis and advanced writing skills.
+ Must have professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
+ Must have knowledge of event operations, facility capabilities, industry terminology, event-related services.
+ Must work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produce accurate results.
+ Must maintain an effective working relationship with clients, employees, patrons, and others encountered in the course of employment.
Education and/or Experience
+ Four-year degree in Management/Business, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field preferred or professional equivalent.
+ 10 years of progressive facility and event management preferred.
+ 5+ years event industry booking experience required.
+ 3-5 years of supervisory experience required.
+ 3 years of event operations required.
+ 3-5 years of Marketing experience is preferred.
+ Experience in Windows, Power Point, and Microsoft Office software required. Ticketing software and event software are preferred.
