The Position
Personnel Analysts are responsible for performing comprehensive personnel functions for a state department, division or agency. Work may involve employee relations, recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee development, benefit administration, staffing and payroll.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position falls under the Governors Finance Office within the CORE.NV ERP project team. This position will underfill a Personnel Officer 1. With general direction within the HR work stream, the position is responsible for project requirements and scope, plans, organizes, trains and oversees project functions. The incumbent will work closely with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity. Ensure project results adhere to NV state policies and procedures. They will identify potential personnel-related risks that could impact project success and work with relevant stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field and two years of progressively responsible professional personnel experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
This position may require up to 25% travel.
This position requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
Additional Position Criteria
This recruitment is only open to current classified employees in state service with at least six months of continuous, full-time equivalent service.
