• Lab Support Specialist (Phlebotomy)

    Summary of Position: Performs phlebotomy techniques to obtain blood specimens on patients of all ages. Interprets and transcribes physician orders onto manual requisitions and into the computer Order Entry System. Performs all medically necessary activities required. Assists in lab functions as required for proper specimen accessioning. Assist in training new employees. Assist in clerical functions of department.

     

    Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or GED required. Prior phlebotomy experience preferred. Certification or eligible with a recognized board of registry recommended.

     

    Valid New York State driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and approved to drive Saratoga Hospital vehicles for shifts requiring travel for offsite specimen collection.

     

    Salary Range: $17.79 - $27.45 Pay Grade: 17 Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
