We are seeking a Software Developer (Journeyman) to provide expertise in technical design, development, implementation, and optimization of software solutions for large-scale DoD systems. This role involves programming, testing, debugging, analysis, and system enhancement, ensuring high-performing software solutions that align with national security objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Develop detailed technical designs and software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
+ Design, code, test, debug, and implement software applications to support DoD systems.
+ Conduct organizational needs assessments, aligning software development initiatives with operational goals.
+ Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, ensuring optimized encoding, testing, and installation for large-scale deployments.
+ Maintain software performance efficiency, identifying and resolving system issues.
+ Collaborate with teams to integrate secure software development methodologies into DoD infrastructure.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation for software development, system revisions, and operational improvements.
+ Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies, security standards, and risk management frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
+ Active Secret Clearance: TS preferred.
+ Education:
+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent work experience.
+ Experience:
+ 4 years' experience with a master's degree or higher OR
+ 2 years' experience with a Doctorate Degree OR
+ 6 years' experience with a bachelor's degree OR
+ 8 years' experience with an associate's degree.
+ Skills:
+ Strong proficiency in software development, programming languages, debugging, and testing methodologies.
+ Ability to design and modify large-scale DoD software systems, ensuring efficiency and security.
+ Understanding of network security, encryption protocols, and secure coding best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with classified defense software systems and military cybersecurity operations.
+ Familiarity with cloud-based software solutions (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government).
+ Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified Developer, or DoD-approved software engineering credentials.
