    Role Definition

     

    Apply funds received from Caterpillar Financial Commercial Account (CFCA), Caterpillar Financial Services Limited (CFSL) and Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation (CFSC) customers, dealers and third parties in a timely and accurate manner.

    Responsibilities:

    • Executes tasks needed for cash application implementation.

    • Provide technical support for service representative, sales, and account management regarding cash application services.

    • Provides guidance on the cash application process.

    • Execute and apply existing cash application processes in compliance with established regulations and policies.

    • Sets up, receives, and processes Lockbox payments, as well as ACH, Wire and other electronic payments.

    • Maintains a stated cash application accuracy rate and turnaround time, assigned by the Cash Management Manager.

    • Conducts basic research, identification and processing of manual and scannable cash receipts from lockboxes utilizing Intranet / Internet capabilities.

    • Knowledge of and ability to navigate through Salesforce, TSYS and JPM Access.

    • Responsible for the ICUC Que for checks or transfers to account that are invoice bill accounts.

    • Daily wire reporting for tracking all Cat Card incoming and outgoing funds as reported on our Treasury Statements for both CFCA and CFSL.

    Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Making cases for VIP accounts.

    • Applying payments to non VIP accounts.

    • Making cases for payments with invoices missing in TSYS.

    • Attaching checks and dealer invoices to cases for Customer Relations.

    • Using excel sheet to carve out payors and payment amounts for incoming and outgoing money.

    • Highlighting all VIP account payments and payments that need to be applied in TSYS.

    • Create and distribute cases to the corresponding VIP account managers.

    • Apply non VIP payments in TSYS.

    • Look for account numbers for payments with missing information.

    • Answer messages from other teammates on the receival of wires.

     

    May be responsible for basic reconciliations and research on CFCA accounts requested and per business need. May be required to perform basic research and resolution on current unapplied funds as business need requires and as other workload responsibilities permit. May develop cash application procedures and training documentation. May train new Cash Management employees. Participates in the accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of objectives is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

    Office Support Tools: Knowledge of commonly used office hardware, software and equipment; ability to use the tools available at the desktop (for example: word processing, email, presentation software, and spreadsheets.)

    • Demonstrates some advanced functions of at least one product.

    • Compiles a list of the types of fraud that can impact a specific line of business.

     

    Remittance Processing: Knowledge of remittance processing; ability to implement processes, technologies, equipment and applications associated with customer receipts from payments made.

    Level Working Knowledge:

    • Deposits remittance funds into the company's account immediately after collection.

    • Processes all basic payment transactions.

    • Resolves common operational issues and problems that arise.

    • Works with exception processing and escalation or referral procedures.

    • Utilizes basic tools and equipment for remittance processing.

    Additional Information:

    This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

    Summary Pay Range:

    $25.14 - $37.71
