Position Overview
International is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to join our Engine Assembly team at our Manufacturing Facility in Huntsville, AL!The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will oversee the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes and operations for new and existing products.
Responsibilities
+ Ensures the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs
+ Acts as a liaison with engineering in releasing new products
+ Develops systems to maintain reports and record keeping of company products
+ Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges
+ Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
+ Manages the team with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control
+ Interacts with supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers
+ Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s)
+ Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
Minimum Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least 8 years of product manufacturing experience
+ At least 2 years of management experience
OR
+ Master’s degree
+ At least 6 years of product manufacturing experience
+ At least 2 years of management experience
OR
+ At least 10 years of product manufacturing experience
+ At least 2 years of management experience
Additional Requirements
+ Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
+ Experience with electric torque controlled fastening tools
+ Experience with CAD and 3D modeling tools preferred Siemens NX
+ Experience with leak testing
+ Experience with Robotic Assembly systems
+ Experience with AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles)
+ Experience maintaining project budgets
+ Experience launching new products to an existing production line
+ Experience estimating project cost
+ Experience presenting resolutions to quality issues
+ Experience creating and maintaining project timelines
+ Experience motivating team to find new ways to address production and quality issues
+ Experience resolving daily production issues in a timely matter
+ Experience leading diverse teams
+ Basic knowledge of Microsoft products
