    We are seeking a visionary and analytically-driven Senior Director, Finance – eCommerce Acceleration to lead a high-impact team shaping the future of Walmart’s digital business. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to manage a strategic roadmap of enterprise-wide eCommerce initiatives, deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, and lead the transformation of Walmart’s business intelligence and data capabilities. The eCommerce Acceleration team is responsible for shaping strategic, financial, and customer outcomes through data-driven financial strategy, business analytics, and operational decision support. As we continue to scale digital engagement across omnichannel surfaces, we aim to unlock greater customer lifetime value and deepen share of wallet through strategic innovation and next-generation financial strategy.

     

    What you'll do...

     

    + Own the Strategic Roadmap: Lead the prioritization, development, and governance of Walmart’s eCommerce CP initiative portfolio, ensuring focus on the highest-impact efforts that drive long-term enterprise value.

    + Deliver Executive Insights: Provide monthly, data-driven, actionable insights on the state of eCommerce business performance to executive stakeholders—helping shape decisions across merchandising, fulfillment, product, and marketing.

    + Drive Strategic Projects: Lead high-stakes, cross-functional projects that unlock share of wallet and market share growth—ranging from customer segmentation work to pricing experimentation and fulfillment innovations.

    + Partner Across the Enterprise: Collaborate with leaders across eCommerce, Product, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Ops, and Data Science to ensure strategic alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.

    + Drive Strategic Projects: Lead high-stakes, cross-functional projects that unlock share of wallet and market share growth—ranging from customer segmentation work to pricing experimentation and fulfillment innovations.

    + Elevate the Way We Work: Champion a modern, agile approach to financial strategy, rooted in scalable analytics, digital enablement, and outcome-focused experimentation.

    What You’ll Bring:

    + Cross-Functional Influence: You excel in matrixed organizations and bring a collaborative approach to driving outcomes through partnership—not just authority.

    + Strategic Finance Expertise: Deep experience developing and evaluating complex business cases, building robust driver-based financial models, and influencing enterprise-level decisions with clarity and precision.

    + Analytics Leadership: Proven track record in leading modern data and analytics teams. Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Looker, and SQL. You understand how to scale from dashboards to enterprise semantic layers.

    + Omnichannel Fluency: You bring a strong understanding of retail, eCommerce, and digital customer behavior—and can connect customer metrics to commercial outcomes.

    + Leadership & Development: Experience leading high-performing teams with a focus on talent development, coaching, and building a strong internal bench.

    + Executive Storytelling: A compelling communicator with a knack for distilling complex concepts into executive-ready narratives, presentations, and white papers.

    Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

    The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00-$260,000.00

    Minimum Qualifications...

    Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 6 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in accounting, finance, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience. 3 years’ experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
