Position Summary...

Walmart is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the vision and strategy for agentic AI experiences on the AI Commerce team. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of how customers interact with Walmart through conversational AI, driving innovation and enhancing the shopping experience. About the Team: Walmart's Product team is dedicated to placing customers and associates at the heart of everything they build. The eCommerce Product team focuses on developing experiences that delight millions of customers shopping online or in stores. The AI Commerce team is at the forefront of innovation, leveraging advanced technologies to create seamless and engaging interactions that help customers discover products and services.

What you'll do...

+ Lead the end-to-end vision and strategy for Sparky, Walmart’s conversational AI assistant

+ Design new agentic interaction patterns that evolve Sparky into a trusted personal shopping butler

+ Scale the agentic AI platform to serve 10s of millions of active users in a personalized, proactive manner

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reimagine conversational commerce experiences

+ Build roadmaps, write PRDs, and align business and technical needs with customer insights

+ Drive the end-to-end experience including the AI/ML systems powering Sparky

+ Define A/B tests, measure success, and iterate to continuously improve product performance

What you’ll bring

+ Proven experience leading large-scale AI or ML-powered product initiatives

+ Strong technical background in machine learning and conversational systems

+ Ability to synthesize data, user research, and design into actionable product strategies

+ Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and influencing executive decisions

+ Strategic mindset with a bias for execution and long-term impact

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related area and 9 years’ experience in product management. Option 2: 11 years’ experience in product management or related area.

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
