About the role...

You will...

+ Support the full lifecycle of M&A transactions—from sourcing and assessment to due diligence and integration

+ Conduct market and competitive research to find opportunities aligned with Duolingo’s strategic priorities

+ Build financial models and perform valuation analyses for potential acquisitions

+ Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, and legal teams during the evaluation and execution of deals

+ Prepare investment memos and strategic presentations for senior leadership and Board audiences

+ Assist in integration planning to ensure acquired businesses and teams are set up for success

+ Contribute to strategic projects beyond M&A that influence company-wide direction

You have...

+ 2–4 years of relevant experience, such as in investment banking, management consulting, venture capital, or corporate development

+ Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis

+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize findings and collaborate across teams

+ A proactive and adaptable attitude, with comfort navigating ambiguous and evolving priorities

Exceptional candidates will have...

+ Experience supporting or executing M&A transactions in the consumer tech

+ Familiarity with working closely alongside product and engineering teams

+ Exposure to fast-paced, cross-functional environments where strategic thinking and execution are closely linked

+ A demonstrated ability to connect company strategy with external market dynamics

We post a multi-level salary range for all of our roles.

This is not inclusive of the rest of our awesome portfolio that includes equity compensation and world-class benefits. Our salary ranges are the same for all US locations. Your recruiter can share more details about the range for a specific level during the hiring process. The actual salary within the range is determined by many factors including but not limited to, skills, experience, education, and internal equity.

Salary Range:

$127,500 — $207,000 USD
