This is not a typical program management role. You'll be leading an organization focused on incubator-style efforts with the mindset of a startup and the reach of the RTX enterprise. The Emerging Capabilities organization partners with our Engineering Advanced Technology Center to deliver these innovative capabilities.
We’re seeking a dynamic leader with a strong mix of strategic vision, technical fluency, financial acumen and the grit to lead complex initiatives with clarity and confidence. We’re looking for someone who has led complex technical development programs before and who has a deep understanding of technical, schedule, cost and risk management in the Science & Technology space. Familiarity, past execution experience, and existing relationships with DARPA, AFRL, ONR, DIU and SCO are highly desired.

What You Will Do
+ This Value Stream Leader (VSL)/Program Manager will lead a team of leaders that engage and have profit and loss responsibility for both internally and externally funded customer development activities
+ The VSL will lead and organize pursuit and proposal efforts to capture new programs and establish technology roadmaps that align with emerging needs
+ The VSL will interface with a cross functional team of other program managers, business development, strategy and engineering personnel to develop transition plans for new technologies and capabilities to business units across Mission Systems to fuel future business growth and solve the most challenging and emerging customer mission problems
+ Be able to travel up to 50%
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
+ Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Top Secret **after** **start.**
+ Previous P&L and DoD/Defense Experience required

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
