Children’s Clinics is seeking a Full-Time Independent Licensed Therapist to work with the Birth to 5 population.
As a member of the Clinical Operations Team this individual will support a dynamic team of providers and staff serving a population consisting primarily of children with complex medical needs.
This position is responsible for:
+ Facilitating therapy with individuals and groups for children and teens, co-facilitating groups, and being able to handle any crisis interventions within the group setting
+ Individual and family therapy
+ Requires proper documentation of all sessions, and any other additional paperwork such as service plans, etc., and supervisory experience to help document hours for independent licensure.
+ Conducts a full and ongoing assessment utilizing the program specific protocol, including verbal and written diagrams, summarizes central issues, themes and agreements reached, develops operational problem definition, assess structural functioning of individual in relationship to environment/milieu/family, conducts thorough child/family strengths and needs assessment
+ Engages the child/ family collaboratively in order to create safety and stability for each family member
+ Builds rapport and credibility simultaneously with varying individuals, family members, populations, stakeholders, and community members. Develops and implements successful trauma informed intervention including identifying the treatment method, collaboratively establish treatment plans that identify issues, goals and measurable objectives that are achievable in a reasonable time frame, interventions/strategies that address the assessment issues, and maintains timely progress notes that reflect movement towards goals/objectives
+ Plans for client treatment discharge/termination including establishing treatment plans that addresses projected length of care and discharge criteria, helping the family plan and prepare for discharge needs, maintaining progress notes that reflect movement towards goals/objectives. Makes follow-up referral as needed
+ Conducts educational activities to promote client understanding of the impact of trauma, treatment issues including medication, diagnosis, parenting skills
+ Performs other duties as assigned and required

As a member of the Patient and Family Services team the Therapist will join a strong interdisciplinary team serving a diverse patient population consisting primarily of children to young adults with complex medical needs including behavioral health concerns/diagnoses. The desired candidate will have clinical experience, assessment skills, knowledge and utilization of Best Practices, and excellent engagement skills. The Therapist will evaluate and assess the needs of the patient, and provide clinical outpatient services (individual, family, and group services).
Applicants must have a current LMSW and/or LCSW license or eligible for licensure in AZ. Must have graduated from an accredited Master’s degree program in Counseling, Therapy, Psychology or related field by an accredited educational institution, with relevant experience. Minimum two years experience working with children and families in the behavioral health system. Current BLS/CPR certification required. EMR/EHR NextGen preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
+ Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required
Experience:
+ Two or more years of related experience required
+ Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
Licenses and Certificates:
+ Arizona Licensure
+ LPC or LCSW required
+ BLS certification required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)
+ Knowledge of Behavioral Health Best Practices
+ Knowledge of Crisis Intervention
+ Knowledge of Child & Family Team Protocol/Care Coordination Services
+ Ability to provide individual, family and group services
Fingerprint Clearance:
Employees are required to maintain a current Department of Public Safety Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card. Proof of a current fingerprint clearance card must be received within 90 days of employment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may potentially be exposed to infectious organisms during routine and emergency situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
