This role is responsible for assessing Claims data needs and working with the TM1 team to build TM1 based reporting cubes to facilitate data collection and reporting for staffing and volumes. This role will also be responsible for assessing the claim volume forecasting process and refining an automated approach within TM1. The Consultant will partner with multiple teams including Claims Finance, Workforce Management, Segment FP&A, Actuarial, Performance and Analytics, TM1 team, and others to drive and support strategic outcomes. In this role, the Data Analyst/Technical Consultant will be a key member of the Claims Finance team, which oversees over $1 billion in expenses.
TM1 is an enterprise software used to implement collaborative planning, budgeting and forecasting solutions, as well as analytical and reporting applications.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in the Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities include:
+ Be a Thought Partner: Architect solutions and help drive business decisions; guide the customer towards solutions that support business requirements
+ Data Ownership – ensure data accuracy and timely delivery. Create balancing files, and production support procedures to ensure data integrity
+ Lead data modeling sessions with stakeholders and project sponsors
+ Apply a financial lens to customer inputs, and use metrics to challenge business inputs and drive financial efficiency
+ Build exports in TM1 Connect and design dashboards in Tableau
+ Provide input and counsel regarding risks and opportunities and serve as a critical voice in helping shape the financial strategy and vision for the organization.
+ Partner with TM1 and WFM team to learn best practices and continual learning opportunities
+ Work with TM1 developers to create Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes to load data to TM1 from source systems or other cubes
+ Manage the WAVE tool to track business initiatives
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
+ Bachelor’s degree or Experience in Finance or related field preferred
+ Possess strong to advanced EXCEL skills
+ TM1 and Tableau preferred
+ Self-starter, self-motivated and performance driven; ability to lead through influencing.
+ Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new applications
+ Results oriented with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
+ Strong communication skills; ability to communicate and influence at various levels.
+ Possess strong problem solving skills with a proven ability to develop recommendations based on solid analytics that address the root cause, explain impacts to business performance, and design automated solutions
+ Ability to see the “big picture” and understand overall system architecture
+ Insurance experience preferred
+ Experience with Oracle, SAS, SQL and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) is a plus
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$81,600 - $122,400
