The HR Specialist role blends HR intelligence and data analytics, reporting, project management, and administrative support to drive operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
This position is part of Cepheid´s HR Strategy and Program Management Team and will be located onsite in Sunnyvale, California with some travel required as needed. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ HR Analytics & Reporting to support CEP Strategy & Projects: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Excel, Smartsheets, OneModel, or similar. Support data-driven decision-making by providing actionable insights to stakeholders. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across systems and reports.
+ Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and track progress of cross-functional projects. Develop project timelines, assign tasks, and monitor deliverables. Facilitate regular project meetings and status updates. Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
+ Administrative Support: Manage adhoc operational tasks to support key stakeholders such as schedule group meetings, coordinate logistics for projects, events and team activities. Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for Strategy & PM team and key stakeholders. Maintain organized records and ensure timely follow-up on action items. Assist with budget tracking, procurement, and vendor coordination as needed.
+ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional partners across HR & business teams to drive data integration and alignment of insights. Navigate complex organizational structures and competing priorities to ensure successful execution of key initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and assess current operating models, identify opportunities, and develop action plans that elevate processes.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, Human Resources, IO Psychology or related field and 1+ years of experience in Human Resources, Continuous Improvement, HR Data Analytics, Project Management
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools (e.g., Miro, MS Project).
+ Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., OneModel, Smartsheets, Power BI).
+ Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
+ Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.

The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $64,000 to $100,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
