Position Purpose:
The Cook position is a full time 1st shift; 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. willing to work every other weekend.
What you will do:
Must be able to work from weekly menus and production sheets using approved recipes to prepare food items, observe routine work schedules and follow the System and departmental procedures. Must be able to carry through to completion assigned and planned tasks. Must exercise initiative and also have the ability to exercise sound judgment performing daily and assigned duties. Must have the ability to prioritize and correct problems, as needed.
This position requires a person who is friendly, cordial, reliable, conscientious, and able to follow directions. Must be able to efficiently organize production schedules to meet demands of the operation. Must have initiative and demonstrate good judgement. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
What you will need:
**Education:** High School Graduate or Equivalent. Vocational training in quantity food preparation and sanitation is preferred.
**Experience:** A minimum of one year’s previous food service cooking experience in a healthcare facility, institution or full service restaurant under the guidance of a qualified Chef is required.
