    Contract Duration: 6+ Months, with extensions and possible conversions

    Required Skills & Experience

    + 7+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

    + Spark, Python, Scala and Advanced database skills

    + Looking for a head down developer with the following skill set:

    + Big Data Hadoop, Hive, Java, Python and Spark experience

    + Data analysis expertise

    + Advanced SQL, Unix Shell scripting and Autosys

    + Agile, JIRA

    Desired Skills & Experience

    + Investment Banking experience

    What You Will Be Doing

    + Will work on a data acquisition projects for standing up 2 new applications as well as doing a strategic implementation for the next few years for a legacy application.

    + Will build Big Data models using Spark, Scala, and Python.

    + Will be doing analysis as well as writing code.

    + Will be a primarily heads down engineer with production support as needed.

    + Will participate in a daily stand-up call, Jiras will be assigned.

    + Needs to be capable of speaking up in the calls and providing risk updates.
