Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the Visual Computing team in the Specialist and Partner Organization supporting Business Development & Strategy for AWS. As a Sr. Manager, Visual Computing, you will lead a dynamic team to drive innovation, enhance customer adoption, and position AWS as a leader in the industry. Your role will be pivotal in navigating complex sales cycles, fostering strategic partnerships, and advocating for AWS's differentiated capabilities across various customer segments. This is an opportunity to accelerate the adoption of Amazon’s technology in Visual Effects, Animation, Video Games, and Post Production spaces, while working with services like Amazon Deadline Cloud and Amazon GameLift.
In this role, you will lead the team supporting our existing clients in these spaces, unlock novel new workflows, and position AWS as a leader as GenAI transforms the industry. You will compile and lead strategic vision through data-driven analysis and outreach leveraging your expertise and industry connections. You will work cross-functionally across teams while evangelizing AWS differentiated capabilities to account executives and sales teams, helping them to navigate complex pipelines and sales cycles. Creating robust feedback loops with customers and studios is a core practice for this role. You will inform product roadmaps, enhance customer adoption, drive integrated cloud solutions, and amplify market awareness within customer segments. A growing number of customers outside of core industries are now leveraging real-time and rendering technology to build interactive solutions and you will be responsible for leading the team through these evolutions.
The ideal candidate demonstrates extensive knowledge of global visual production, as well as experience crafting go-to-market strategies that drive adoption in complex enterprise sales cycles. You have cultivated executive-level relationships with decision makers at leading studios and hold a pulse on emerging technical architectures that influence product roadmaps. You understand the intricacies of leadership of globally dispersed teams with highly technical backgrounds. You have leveraged market, competitive, and customer insights to formulate strategies that accelerated the growth of cloud infrastructure. Exceptional analytical abilities paired with communication skills that advocate complex insights across stakeholder groups is essential. Passion for advancing innovation in the Visual Effects, Animation, Post Production and Video Games industries through both business development and technology comes naturally.
This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead the WWSO Visual Computing global driving AWS initiatives in cloud based production and game hosting.
* Lead the development of the business case, revenue projections, GTM assets and technical assets necessary to transition the GTM initiative to the scale-out team.
* Collaborate with internal teams to understand the technical requirements of our customers and bring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.
* Develop long-term strategic partnerships in support of our key initiatives.
* Drive industry thought-leadership by leading the development of state-of-the-art demos, writing blogs, conducting webinars, and representing AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, and other events
* Own reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.

Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years building and leading teams related to business development, program/product management, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales for animation, video games, and visual effects production and workflows.
- Experience building and executing GTM initiatives that scale across an organization, demonstrating ability to work effectively across internal stakeholders in a matrix environment.
- Experience working across the organization (from technical staff to VP/CxOs) and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent .
- Experience selling with Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maxon Cinema4D, Foundry Nuke, SideFX Houdini, cloud rendering, or streaming.
- BA/BS degree or technical degree in a relevant field such as fine arts, 3d animation, engineering, applied mathematics, computer science or related discipline, or relevant experience in field of at least 10 years.
Preferred Qualifications
- M.S., PhD, MBA, or other higher degree in a business or technical field, or 15 years industry experience.
- Experience with GenAI tools for digital content creation for Media, Entertainment and Games and an understanding of how GenAI/ML is transforming the industry.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with experience communicating to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated people-management skills; able to inspire and foster the right behaviors in others through leading by example (Player/Coach).
- Established track record of credibility as a business development and technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.
- Experience with and detailed knowledge of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $174,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $288,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
