**Job Title:** Senior Research Associate, Preclinical Immunology - Vaccines

As part of the Discovery Biology team, you will be responsible for designing and conducting in vitro and in vivo immunology studies to support our programs and mRNA platform development. You will directly contribute to our goal of advancing our mRNA 2.0 vaccine platform by testing innovative new construct designs and immunological evaluations in various cellular and animal models.

Main Responsibilities:
+ Evaluate the innate and adaptive immune responses induced by vaccines using cutting edge immunology approaches to predict the potency and reactogenicity of vaccine candidates.
+ Design and conduct a variety of virological and immunological assays (eg- quantitative RT-PCR, mammalian cell culture, neutralization assays, Flow cytometry, Luminex assays, ELISPOT and ELISA).
+ Coordinate and assist in execution of in vivo studies, which may include handling, sampling, and sample processing from laboratory animals.
+ Function in dynamic and highly collaborative cross functional teams.
+ Document all work appropriately in electronic lab notebooks and perform laboratory support activities such as maintaining equipment and ordering lab supplies.
+ Summarize experimental results and findings in high-quality scientific presentations and reports.
About You
+ Earned Bachelors or Masters degree in a scientifically related field (e.g. Cell Biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc.)
+ At least 3 years of experience in a research laboratory or pharma / biotech company setting.
+ Previous experience with primary cell culture and animal model development would be considered a plus.
+ Proficient in the use of Excel and Prism graphing and statistical software for analysis (experience with other statistical methods would be a plus)
+ Hands on experience with assays including HAI, microneutralization, ELISA, flow cytometry is helpful
+ Hands-on experience with isolation and differentiation of human immune cells from PBMCs would be ideal
+ Meticulous working style with attention to detail and diligent record keeping is essential
+ Desire to work as a part of a highly integral team to accomplish project goals together.

The salary range for this position is:
$73,500.00 - $106,166.66
All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
