    Job Description:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to support the financial operations of a confidential manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and exceptional analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role is contract-to-hire and offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities:

    + Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.

    + Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage customer invoicing, monitor collections, and follow up on overdue accounts.

    + General Ledger (GL): Assist with GL maintenance, including journal entries and reconciliations.

    + Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

    + Expense Tracking: Monitor and analyze expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

    + ERP Systems: Utilize ERP software for financial data entry, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure system efficiency.

    + Compliance: Ensure financial and operational compliance with company policies, regulations, and auditing standards.

    + Collaboration: Partner with other departments to resolve financial issues and support organizational goals.

    + Ad Hoc Reporting: Prepare customized reports and analyses based on management requests.

    Requirements

    + Education: Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    + Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of accounting experience; prior experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.

    + Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software, advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.), and experience with accounting platforms.

    + Certifications: CPA or similar certifications are a plus but not required.

    + Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance standards.

    + Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills.
