    Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in accounting. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and demonstrate a collaborative approach to problem-solving while working closely with senior leadership.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the transition from Sage50 to QuickBooks Desktop, ensuring accurate data entry and reconciliation.

    • Manage invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions with precision and timeliness.

    • Support payroll processing and month-end close activities, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

    • Perform three-way matching for reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

    • Collaborate with senior leadership to learn and implement effective accounting practices.

    • Provide cash flow analysis and contribute to the preparation of annual budgets.

    • Utilize accounting software to support financial operations and reporting.

    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounting department.

    • Take initiative to learn additional responsibilities and grow into a leadership role.

    • Work effectively with diverse personalities and foster a positive, team-oriented environment. Requirements • Minimum of 3-4 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.

    • Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop is required.

    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    • Experience with payroll processing and reconciliation tasks.

    • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other computerized accounting systems.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with a variety of stakeholders.

    • Ability to take initiative, solve problems, and adapt to new challenges.
