Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Concord, California. In this role, you will manage payroll processes for a workforce of over 550 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulations. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Process payroll for over 550 employees accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
• Manage deductions, including garnishments, 401(k) contributions, and other benefits-related adjustments.
• Oversee unemployment insurance billing and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Handle benefit-related payroll tasks, ensuring proper allocation and reporting.
• Maintain detailed and organized records of payroll transactions for auditing and reporting purposes.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits with professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll operations and resolve discrepancies.
• Generate reports related to payroll, benefits, and deductions as needed.
• Stay updated on payroll best practices and changes in legislation to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
• Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably for organizations with over 500 employees.
• Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Paychex, or similar payroll systems.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, including garnishments, benefits deductions, and 401(k) contributions.
• Knowledge of unemployment insurance billing and related compliance requirements.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively address employee payroll concerns.
• Familiarity with payroll laws and regulations at both state and federal levels.,
