Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, you will support the Financial Controller by overseeing accounting systems, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Responsibilities:

• Supervise the monthly, half-year, and year-end accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and review balance sheet reports and financial statements, identifying trends and variances.

• Assist in the creation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to support strategic decision-making.

• Manage cash flow activities, treasury functions, and banking relationships to optimize financial operations.

• Oversee and strengthen internal controls while coordinating with external auditors for semi-annual and annual audits.

• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate inventory management and reconciliation.

• Lead the account reconciliation process and ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.

• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management.

• Drive process improvements in financial operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and corporate finance teams. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; a Master’s degree in Accounting is preferred.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.

• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in public accounting or 5 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.

• Strong understanding of financial statements, including P& L, balance sheets, and cash flow.

• Expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and consolidation processes.

• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor team members in accounting systems and processes.
