Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance? Robert Half is working with one of our valued clients to find a talented Payroll Specialist for a Contract-to-Permanent position. Key Responsibilities:

+ Process payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

+ Manage payroll systems and maintain accurate employee payroll records, including tax forms, benefits information, and timesheets.

+ Ensure compliance with state and federal wage and hour laws, as well as company policies.

+ Reconcile payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information and resolving issues promptly.

+ Process and file payroll tax forms, including federal, state, and local taxes.

+ Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll-related issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

+ Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on benefits deductions, reimbursements, and reporting processes.

+ Assist with year-end processes, including preparation of W-2s and other required tax forms.

Requirements

+ 3+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role. Multi-state payroll experience is a strong plus.

+ Proficient in payroll software and systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).

+ Strong understanding of federal and state payroll regulations, including tax laws and compliance requirements.

+ Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.

+ Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
