A reputable heating and air company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Specialist for a long-term contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience with accounts receivable and billing processes, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is essential for ensuring accurate customer billing, timely payment processing, and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Customer Invoicing: Generate and distribute accurate invoices for heating and air services, including recurring and one-time charges.

+ Payment Processing: Reconcile payments, post them to accounts, and manage collections for outstanding balances (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx).

+ Accounts Receivable: Maintain current accounts, monitor aging reports, and follow up on past-due payments to ensure timely resolutions.

+ Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or issues with customers and vendors in a professional and timely manner.

+ Data Entry & Management: Enter and maintain customer billing, payment, and communications records in ERP software or billing systems.

+ Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed account receivable and billing reports to stakeholders as required.

+ Collaboration: Liaise with service teams, leadership, and vendors to ensure billing aligns with company processes and standards (Source: RH Acronym Guide.docx).

+ Compliance: Ensure that all billing practices follow company policies and relevant legal guidelines.

Compensation:

This is a long-term contract position offering competitive hourly pay. While full-time employment is not guaranteed, the position provides steady work and an opportunity to deepen your experience in finance and billing operations.

Requirements

+ Education: High school diploma required; Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred.

+ Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related role; industry experience (HVAC, construction, or similar) preferred.

+ Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

+ Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, communication, and time-management skills.

+ Knowledge: Familiarity with general accounting principles and billing systems.
