Description We are looking for a skilled Buyer to join our procurement team in Freeport, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in sourcing chemical raw materials, equipment, and other essential supplies, ensuring that procurement processes meet both quality and cost-effectiveness standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization within the chemicals industry.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for chemical raw materials, equipment, and other supplies.

• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships by evaluating and negotiating contracts effectively.

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure timely and efficient replenishment aligned with production schedules.

• Conduct market analysis to stay informed about trends, pricing changes, and regulations affecting procurement.

• Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising the quality of materials or services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement aligns with organizational goals.

• Review and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with agreements and standards.

• Optimize purchasing processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead times.

• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies during procurement activities. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably in the chemicals industry.

• Strong skills in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.

• Proven ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies.

• Experience in managing inventory levels and coordinating orders to align with production demands.

• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Proficiency in procurement tools and software.
