Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to oversee financial operations and reporting for multiple business units. This role offers the opportunity to manage budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide critical insights to support decision-making. Based in Afton, Virginia, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to maintaining high standards in financial management.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records for various business units, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.

• Track and manage budgets across all business units, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards.

• Provide the owner with detailed financial reports, highlighting performance metrics and actionable insights.

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers to facilitate smooth audits and filings.

• Assist in managing cash flow and developing forecasting models for financial planning.

• Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures to standardize processes.

• Evaluate operational costs and project expenses, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a detail-oriented role.

• At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably managing multiple business entities.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, as well as advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Strong analytical and organizational abilities to manage complex financial operations.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

• Familiarity with compliance requirements and financial regulations across diverse industries.
