This is a Collective Bargaining Unit Position**

Under the direction of the Manager of Float Pool, Clinical House, and unit-based licensed nursing staff, the Patient Safety Companion/ CO is utilized to sit with patients who are experiencing the following situations including but not limited to : suicide potential, potential to harm self or others, restless and or confused. The safety companion is to maintain continuous visual observation of the patient.

Job Requirements

+ High School Graduate or GED equivalent

+ Must be 18 years or older

+ All sitters must maintain yearly training requirements.

+ American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification

SHIFT/SCHEDULE

Full Time - Scheduled for 32 Weekly Hours.

Shift Time - This position works a rotation of days/Afternoons.

This position will have scheduled shifts every other weekend.
