Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist to manage a dynamic portfolio of 40–50 suppliers and oversee approximately 120 purchase orders per month. The role involves executing purchasing activities within a regulated contract manufacturing environment, ensuring cost savings, supplier performance, and proactive planning. The specialist will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, shipping/receiving, estimating, manufacturing, finance, and scheduling to maintain a seamless supply chain operation.
Responsibilities
+ Lead formal supplier reviews and corrective action plans.
+ Develop supplier risk mitigation strategies and sourcing strategies aligned with business goals.
+ Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives through negotiation and efficiency improvements.
+ Implement inventory reduction strategies such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and consignment.
+ Participate in Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP).
+ Own supplier scorecards and ensure data integrity in pricing, lead times, and compliance.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional projects.
+ Provide market insights and support engineering, sales, and operations.
Essential Skills
+ 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials planning.
+ Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
+ Strong multitasking, negotiation, and strategic sourcing skills.
+ ERP/MRP experience, with Epicor preferred.
+ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Epicore.
+ APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP).
+ Medical device industry experience.
+ Experience with supplier performance reviews and cost reduction initiatives.
Work Environment
This role is based onsite in a manufacturing environment and operates Monday through Friday. Start times vary between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, with standard hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, offering some flexibility. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $43.00/hr.
