    World Vision is hiring an Exception Mail Processing Specialist to serve within the Donation Processing Department.

    Role: Exception Mail Processing Specialist

     

    Reports to: Supervisor Donation Processing

     

    Required Experience: High School/GED or equivalent. Some specialized work experience (familiar with more specialized subjects or tools); 1-2 years. Must have work experience in donation processing and computer knowledge.

     

    Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. for any employer.

     

    Estimated Pay Range: $19.74 - $21.92 per hour

     

    The Job

     

    World Vision is looking for an Exception Mail Processing Specialist who will accurately analyze multiple transactions on donor accounts, identify problems associated with donor concerns, and find solutions in order to process transactions correctly. Ensure accurate maintenance of donor accounts and interpret donor concerns related to donor account history. Help carry out our Christian organization’s mission, vision, and strategies. Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word and sign.

     

    + Keep Christ central in our individual and corporate lives. Attend and participate in the leadership of devotions, weekly Chapel services, and regular prayer.

    + Process credit card, EFT and check transactions for extensive specialized donation categories to ensure accurate posting of donor's contributions per donor instructions.

    + Operate the donor accounting system, which requires advanced knowledge of multiple screens related to donor accounts.

    + Access internal databases in order to perform complex research and ensure accurate posting of donor contributions.

    + Verify donor intent as needed through direct telephone and mail contact and make appropriate maintenance updates to donor accounts.

    + Process electronic funds and credit card activity from multiple sources (mail, phone, web and internet).

    + Place and receive calls to and from donors and banks, responding to and resolving inquiries while providing excellent customer service.

    + Forward relevant data to internal groups while ensuring the security of sensitive personal and financial data.

    + Sort exception mail and assign to correct batches based on category.

    + Advise manager on incoming work volume and backlog.

    + Accurately scan and index completed work using imaging software.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    + Work collaboratively with team members when assigned to work as part of a team.

    + Keep informed of organizational announcements, activities and changes via regular reading of the WVUS Intranet and other corporate communication tools.

    Your Education and Experience:

    High School/GED or equivalent. Some specialized work experience (familiar with more specialized subjects or tools); 1-2 years. Must have work experience in donation processing and computer knowledge.

    Salary Range & Benefits:

    WVUS Pay Grade Level: 216

     

    Typical hiring pay range is $19.74 - $21.92 per hour

     

    The full pay range for this role is $18.27- $25.58 per hour

     

    This range applies to locations with a market similar to our Federal Way and Washington D.C. offices. A different range may apply based on your work location.

     

    Job offers are based on relevant qualifications and pay equity.
