    We’re hiring a Service Trainer to join our crew in Waterloo WI. This role is responsible for building our service training curriculum, helping develop the best bike technicians and service centers in the world.

     

    The ideal candidate combines great bike mechanical skills with the ability to teach. They’re a great communicator, comfortable performing in front of a camera and groups of people, and a clear writer. They’re a natural relationship builder who earns trust through showing empathy to trainees and business partners.

     

    This is an onsite role at HQ in Waterloo, WI.

    Position Responsibilities

    + Build our core curriculum of technician training, teaching how to service bicycles to the Trek standard.

    + Create training videos and documents with our product support teams, teaching assembly, maintenance, and technical troubleshooting for new bikes.

    + Write video scripts perform service procedures on camera.

    + Organize training content online in the best way to make learning easy and fun for bike shop employees.

    + Work with our global teams to maximize the scale of your work – ensuring stores around the world can learn to wrench the Trek way.

    + Teach service business tactics to service staff and retail leaders in-person.

    + Track engagement and effectiveness of our service training.

    + Collaborate with the entire Trek U team to integrate service within the overall retail education objectives.

    Position Requirements

    + Minimum of 3 years bicycle service technician/mechanic experience

    + Excellent presentation and writing skills

    + Fun and flexible; great at Plan B

    + Learn-it-all attitude & approach

    + Bias toward action

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

    + Energy and passion to help others succeed

    + Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs.
