Capital Markets Specialist

Huntington is seeking a Capital Markets Specialist to join our Consumer Finance Secondary Marketing Trading team. This individual will participate in the mortgage salable pipeline risk mitigation, pricing, and loan pooling in a strong team-oriented working environment.

Perform quantitative risk management analysis to identify and hedge risks associated with market interest rates on the secondary marketing salable mortgage pipeline. Thrive in a dynamic team of mortgage banking professionals handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Perform pipeline hedging analysis informed by market value simulation and profit/loss sensitivity to changes in interest rates

+ Participate in the monthly cash and MBS pooling process from a trade team perspective

+ Perform mortgage pipeline data driven analysis and reporting to inform decision making on profitability and income generation

+ Assist in the daily bulk bid mandatory loan acquisition through the third-party channel

+ Perform comparative mortgage and home equity origination data analysis

Basic qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance/economics or STEM

+ At least 1 year of experience in finance analytics

Preferred qualifications:

+ Experience in a regulated financial institution

+ Exposure to mortgage banking concepts

+ Experience using QRM, Power BI, SQL, Python, etc.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders verbally and in writing, to include technical topics distilled for non-technical audience
