    Summary

    Chief, Digital Workplace leads the implementation, operation, and maintenance of all components of end user technologies to support IT customers, and to achieve established objectives, promote quality, and drive business value in compliance with internal and external policies and procedures.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Works closely with appropriate IT governing bodies and other IT leaders to ensure high quality service deliver and ongoing support.

    • Partners with operational leaders within and beyond IT to identify, assess, and prioritize meaningful opportunities to use technologies within departmental settings, and to develop the people, processes, and technologies to achieve that objective.

    • Designs, executes and delivers on strategies and projects to enable and extend technical capabilities and integrations that deliver transformational business and customer value.

    • Evaluates individual and team performance and provide opportunities for career development, teamwork and continual service improvements.

    • Oversees system administration functions such as installation, customization and maintenance of the operating system and system software products in support of business processing requirements.

    • Promotes a digital enterprise mindset by proactively engaging peers and business partners on new innovations and capabilities that provide tangible business value.

    • Provides leadership and oversight on strategic and operational planning, including innovation, business cases, planning projects, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.

    • Provides strong and proactive vendor/partner management to ensure we are getting the highest value (service/product, cost, innovation and service) from those relationships.

    • Serves as escalation point for and communicates with cross functional teams, provides updates, and root cause analysis to executive management in support of the continuous improvement initiatives through quantitative metrics.

    • Works with the IT service management and infrastructure teams to redefine existing solutions with a more integrated, innovative and automated perspective.

    This Position Supervises:

    • Director, End User Computing

    • Director, End User Services

    Education, Experience and Qualifications / KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED

    • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years proven experience in Information Technology Management in large organizations supporting commercial activities in developed and emerging regions and applied technical support of complex multi-vendor global environment focusing on Digital Workplace excellence and optimization.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • ITIL certification.

    • 8+ years of business management/leadership experience, including direct supervisory experience and experience mentoring/developing technical professionals.

    • Experience presenting proposals to senior management to gain buy-in and encourage specific actions or strategies.

    • Experience developing team vision and strategies and gaining buy-in from team members.

    • At least 5+ years managing employee facing web solutions, intranet portal, SharePoint Online, or collaboration platform team at a large company.

    • Good understanding front to back of a company’s operational flow.

    • 8+ years’ experience managing direct reports, including mentoring and developing. Demonstrated ability to learn new hardware/software systems independently.

    • Proven track record for working with Sr. level managers to develop strategy, analysis, and presenting in-depth proposals.

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (O365) services required.

    • Familiarity with other enterprise SaaS productivity applications (e.g. content management systems, contract management systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.).

    • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Demonstrated project management skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills that will enable this position to work well with key stake holders; team organization skills.

    • Proven ability to collaborate and work with numerous teams at all levels, including senior level and executive leaders.

    • Content and mobile strategy experience preferred.
