    The Infrastructure Solutions Engineer (ISE) plays a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining a diverse array of IT infrastructure to support business operations. This encompasses networking, Wi-Fi, WAN, firewalls, server hardware and software, databases, virtualization, cloud services, automation and orchestration, and storage solutions. Primarily focused on technical and operational tasks, including maintenance and break/fix activities, you will collaborate with various teams on both short- and long-term improvement projects. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills are essential for thriving in this team-oriented environment.

    This job is located in Meridian, Idaho.

     

    What will I do as an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer?

     

    + Serve as a subject matter expert for all assigned infrastructure technologies.

    + Collaborate with IT staff to configure, support, troubleshoot, and maintain servers, routers, switches, network appliances, VoIP equipment, other communication devices, and applications.

    + Ensure enterprise-wide scalability and performance.

    + Identify, diagnose, and resolve network, hardware, and software issues.

    + Implement test plans, migration plans, and delivery plans.

    + Provide technical assistance to end-users in resolving day-to-day systems or business problems.

    + Design, procure, implement, and maintain various tools, equipment, and network deployment, ensuring proper integration with related systems and appropriate licensing and maintenance coverage.

    + Work with infrastructure and security architects to maintain a supported, secure, and modern infrastructure.

    + Develop and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management and implement service policies and procedures to support company objectives.

    + Help develop, maintain, and test business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup systems.

    + Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.

    + Create IT Infrastructure performance reports and dashboard.

    + Perform additional duties as assigned.

     

    You’ll be a great fit for this position if you have

     

    + An Associate Degree in Information Technology or a related field.

    + 5+ years’ experience working in IT role.

    + 3+ years’ experience working in an Infrastructure support role.

    + Convenience Store experiences a plus but not required.

    + Experience administering, configuring, and or installing the following process and systems:

    + + Active Directory/Entra

    + VMware vCenter and ESXi

    + Windows Server through version 2025

    + System backup and replication software, Veeam and Rubrik

    + Microsoft SQL Server, through version 2022

    + Azure cloud services

    + Intune/Autopilot

    + System automation and orchestration

    + NAS storage, NetApp, and VMware virtual infrastructure

    + LAN, WAN, and Unifi

    + Server hardware, Firewalls

    + The ability to work effectively as an individual contributor or on a team.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    + A history of using solid judgement in deciding best course of action within a situation.

    + Strong analytical and organizational skills.

    + The ability to multitask and prioritize in a challenging, fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    + Ability to handle stress and focus on the details surrounding resolution of issues.

    + Flexibility to work outside business hours for upgrades, implementations, and unplanned outages.

     

    Physical Environment: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
