    Summary: Provides management support for Voices Against Violence community based, domestic violence and rape crisis services including day-to-day staff supervision, scheduling, and monitoring of service delivery, data collection and reporting.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, funder requirements, and financial goals.

    + Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, individual supervision, training and performance management. Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.

    + Provide ongoing monitoring of effective service delivery around community based services.

    + Partner and collaborate with other VAV managers.

    + Develop and coordinate hotline schedules.

    + Develop and maintain on-call schedules for community based services.

    + Ensure annual in-service training requirements are met.

    + Facilitate accurate and timely system input, data analysis and reporting in accordance with funder, VAV and SMOC requirements.

    + Develop and maintain community and statewide collaborations to ensure a coordinated and integrated community response to the crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault.

    + Provide direct services to clients when needed.

    + Ensure staffing for DV High Risk Team.

    + Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.

    + Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.

    + Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.

    + Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

    + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.

    + 3+ years experience in domestic violence and/or rape crisis service delivery, 2 of which must be in a supervisory capacity.

    + Demonstrated commitment to working with survivors.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

    + Must possess a high degree of integrity and proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

    + Bilingual in English and either Spanish or Portuguese.

    + Must posses a valid MA driver’s license, reliable transportation and meet insurance standards.

    + Successful completion of 40-hour training certification program.

    Organizational Relationship:

    + Directly reports to Component Director, Voices Against Violence.

    + Direct reports of this position are Program Advocates, Interns, and Volunteers for direct services supervision.

    + Indirect reports of this position are employees covering the hotline.

     

    Physical Requirement: Ability to drive.

     

    Working Conditions: Some travel is required. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Program Manager, Community Based Services will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. A successful background check is required.

     

    Remote Work Option: Remote work is permissible in some positions at SMOC depending on the key functions and responsibilities. The Program Manager position is eligible to work from home 0-20% of the week in scheduling coordination with the department manager.
