Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Level 2 Commercial Security Installer to join our growing team. This role involves the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of commercial-grade security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience, a strong technical foundation, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on mid- to large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Install and configure commercial security systems including cameras, access control panels, card readers, motion detectors, and alarm systems.

+ Run and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coaxial, etc.) in commercial environments.

+ Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations.

+ Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance with specifications.

+ Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and service activities.

+ Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

+ Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards at all times.

+ Provide guidance and support to Level 1 installers and assist in on-site training.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.

+ 1.5–4 years of experience installing commercial security systems.

+ Proficiency with tools and equipment used in low-voltage installations.

+ Familiarity with major security system brands (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, Axis, Genetec, Lenel, etc.).

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

+ Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Certifications (not required but a plus):

+ OSHA 10/30

+ Manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Genetec, Lenel, Axis)

+ State or local low-voltage license (if applicable)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
