About the Role

As a Patient Access Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and families, playing a vital role in delivering compassionate, efficient, and high-quality care. Whether in the Emergency Department, outpatient clinics, or inpatient admitting, your mission is to create a warm, welcoming environment and ensure a seamless registration experience.

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, up to 40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

Emergency Department

+ Greet and check in patients arriving via walk-in, ambulance, or helicopter.

+ Register patients at bedside using portable computers.

+ Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR.

+ Support Medicare documentation and self-pay processes.

Outpatient/Clinic

+ Efficiently locate and update patient records in the EMR.

+ Verify insurance and demographic information with high accuracy.

+ Assist with checkout, follow-up scheduling, and answering service-related questions.

Main Admitting/Inpatient

+ Support services including lab, radiology, surgery, and inpatient admissions.

+ Travel to inpatient units for bedside registration as needed.

What We’re Looking For

+ 2+ years of professional experience

+ High attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

+ Strong technology skills; EMR experience is a plus

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
