    Clearance:Secret Clearance.

     

    Work Schedule:Onsite M-F.

    Role Overview:

    The Drafter/CAD Operator III will be responsible for creating and updating AutoCAD drawings for the Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) C5ISR program. They will use CAD to prepare engineering drawings, plans, and sketches, ensuring that they accurately depict complex design features and serve as installation drawings. Additionally, the drafter will convert mark-up drawings into final, as-built drawings.

     

    General Skillset

     

    + Experience with Microsoft Office

    + Verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to work both collaboratively and individually

    + Critical Thinking Skills

    + Ability to give presentations and briefings as needed

     

    Specific Skillset

     

    + Provide AutoCAD drawing capability for the creation and update of Advanced Reconnaissance (AR) C5ISR and Engineering Support for the Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) life-cycle support program.

    + Use CAD to prepare and assist in the development of engineering drawings, plans, and sketches supporting technical manuals and modification instructions.

    + Drawings include complex design features requiring considerable drafting skills to visualize and portray LAV C5ISR systems.

    + Drawings shall reflect engineered solutions and be of sufficient detail to serve as installation drawings.

    + Convert the mark-up drawings to final, as-built drawings.

    Requirements

    Education & Certifications

     

    + Associate's Degree in CAD or Technical Drawing is preferred.

    + Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent.

    Experience Requirements

    + 3+ years of experience drafting/illustrating in the electronics field, including computerized drafting applications, digital imaging techniques, use of AutoCad, and planning and preparing graphic presentations of complex items.

    + Experience with DoD processes and procedures

    + Experience supporting NIWC
