    Overview:The Microbiology Analyst is responsible for conducting routine and special microbiological testing on finished products, products on shelf-life, raw materials, environmental samples, and water. The Microbiology Analyst will have knowledge of current microbiological techniques and guidelines (AOAC, ISO, Federal Government Standards, SQF, etc.). The Microbiology Analyst will be a quality resource and ensure the safe operation of the Corporate Microbiology Laboratory.

    Job Description:

    + Conduct routine and special microbiological testing on finished products, products on shelf-life, raw materials, environmental samples, and water using AOAC-BAM methods.

    + Test for Listeria and Salmonella using the Gene-Up Automated Food Pathogen Detection System.

    + Responsible for data entry and data review ensuring data integrity and generating weekly reports for distribution to all stakeholders.

    + Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

    + Conduct all testing and work in conformance with established Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and ISO 17025:2017.

    + Responsible for the maintenance of the laboratory equipment.

    + Responsible for maintaining a clean laboratory and workstation.

    + Prepares media and performs Quality Control.

    + Sunday – Wednesday (10hr/day) or Sunday – Thursday (8 hr/day) Shift
