UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital is seeking a part-time CT Technologist Advanced to join the PET-CT Department in Oakland!
We are offering a $7,500 sign-on bonus to eligible hires for a 2-year commitment!
This role will work a variable schedule that can be made up of either 8 or 12-hour shifts! Shifts will include morning, afternoon, and night hours, but will have no on-call requirements. There will be weekend hours included, with coverage for 2 out of 6 weekends scheduled, as well as one holiday rotation per year. No travel required!
The CT Technologist performs imaging procedures at an advanced level, not requiring constant supervision. This role competently performs a variety of advanced technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

Responsibilities:
+ Performs all job responsibilities of CT Technologist I.
+ Performs or assists Clinical Specialist in performing QA, regulatory testing, and other technical and research initiatives.
+ Demonstrates competency of specialty equipment (i.e. 3D recon, cardiac scanning, etc.) and analyzes data promptly.
+ Monitors quality control activities and demonstrates advanced-level knowledge in Diagnostic Imaging while providing patient care.
+ Functions independently while continually communicating with lead and/or management team.
+ Assists with the training of staff and student technologists, and is able to cover off shifts, when needed.
+ Works directly with Radiologists regarding protocol development and participates in standardization activities with system-level workgroups.
+ Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program.
+ 2 years of CT experience required.
+ Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
+ ARRT CT Certificate OR Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
+ Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
+ CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
