Guthrie would like to announce we have partnered with Lackawanna College to sponsor select students in a two year surgical technician program and are now accepting applications. Limited sponsored spaces will be available for the upcoming August 2025 class. If you are selected and successfully complete the program you will be placed in a full time surgical technician role. Openings will be available across the Guthrie system in Pennsylvania.

Details of the program:

+ Classes begin August 2025

+ Full tuition paid with books included

+ Must be accepted to Lackawanna College as well as completing pre-employment requirements with Guthrie

+ Limited spots available

+ Participants must make a per diem commitment as a operating room technician while taking classes as well as a three year commitment post graduation as a surgical technician

This program is for anyone not currently a surgical technician.

Salary when a full time surgical technician: $24.50 to $38.23
