Overview:
Eurasia Group seeks a proactive and experienced Head of Business Services to oversee Facilities and Administration. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is critical in ensuring the efficient, safe, and sustainable functioning of our workspace. The Building Operations Manager will be responsible for all office services, manage day-to-day building operations, and lead key facilities projects and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Facilities
+ Serve as the property manager for our New York headquarters, including daily building operations, maintenance, repairs, and scheduling of regular NYC inspections. Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities emergencies, with on-call or after-hours responsibilities as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, regulatory, and code requirements (OSHA, FDNY, etc.), and maintain documentation and certifications as required for historic NYC buildings.
+ Spearhead facilities-related key initiatives, including renovations, sustainability projects, space configurations, technology and building systems upgrades, and implementation of new office policies.
+ Oversee office managers and facilities in DC, London, Sao Paulo including daily operations and lease renewal. Manage rental agreements for satellite offices in Mexico, Singapore, Brasilia, and Tokyo.
+ Develop, track, and manage the operations and maintenance budget for each office, including oversight of expenditures and approval of invoices.
Administration
+ Management of the administrative team of approximately 2-3 staff
+ Work with office managers and HR to plan holiday party, summer events and other social events in each office.
+ Oversight of the firm’s travel and expense policies as well as updating documentation and conducting training related to expense reports and travel booking protocols.
+ Manage the relationship with the firm’s travel agency and integration with Concur.
+ Provide visibility of booked travel across the firm to provide efficiencies with policy/travel calendars/roadshow calendars.
+ Oversee senior executive global travel as needed including assistance with visas.
+ Identify resources for ad hoc projects the administrative team is requested to work on.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree required.
+ 5–10 years of relevant experience in owner operated building maintenance and facilities management for similarly sized or historic buildings; experience in NYC strongly preferred.
+ Demonstrated experience with budget development, vendor negotiation, and contract oversight (e.g., managing the operation budget, service providers, approving expenditures).
+ Hands-on knowledge of building systems and maintenance best practices.
+ OSHA certification required; IFMA, BOMA, NYC Fire Safety Director certifications strongly preferred.
+ Experience implementing sustainability, renovation, or technology upgrade projects.
+ Familiarity with NYC building codes, regulations, and managing historic or unique building types.
+ Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds, perform building walk-throughs, and work extended periods on their feet.
+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proven ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
+ Highly organized, self-driven, and able to problem-solve and make decisions independently.
+ Outstanding customer service orientation.
Additional Information:
Solely responsible for building operations and facilities support, and expected to respond to emergencies on a 24/7 basis as required.
Professional demeanor and high degree of accountability and discretion expected.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $105,000 to $115,000
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
