The Master Data Analyst plays a critical role within IT, ensuring that RYAM’s enterprise master data is governed, accurate, and aligned across systems, business processes, and geographies. This role leads the design, execution, and continuous improvement of master data management activities across SAP S/4HANA and associated platforms.
The Analyst acts as a central steward and enabler of enterprise data, supporting all business functions including Procurement, Sales, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Maintenance. The role supports all lines of business, including High Purity Cellulose and Biomaterials, and operates across RYAM’s regions in the United States, Canada, and France.
While data ownership resides with the business functions, this role provides governance, request and change management oversight, execution of master data tasks, and cross-functional analysis. The position is also responsible for driving automation and process efficiency within the enterprise data landscape.
How you’ll shape the future of the IT Team:
+ Govern the end-to-end lifecycle of master data objects in SAP S/4HANA
+ Define and maintain enterprise-wide standards, validation logic, naming conventions, documentation, and change control processes for master data
+ Collaborate with data owners across Procurement, Sales, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Maintenance to ensure alignment between master data structures and business process needs
+ Serve as the central point for intake, triage, execution, and audit of data change requests, working across multiple functions and geographies
+ Lead efforts to automate manual data handling processes and accelerate turnaround time through workflow optimization and tool adoption
+ Support enterprise initiatives such as ERP rollouts, data migration projects, and structural changes that require data cleansing, enrichment, and validation
+ Coordinate alignment of master data standards across the United States, Canada, and France to ensure consistency and traceability
+ Leverage reporting and data governance tools to track data quality, monitor performance, and deliver insights to business and IT stakeholders
+ Partner with cybersecurity and compliance teams to ensure proper data access controls, segregation of duties, and audit readiness
You’ll be someone who can bring:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related technical discipline
+ Minimum of four years in SAP S/4HANA master data management within an IT or enterprise applications function
+ Proven experience supporting master data requirements across multiple business functions such as Procurement, Sales, Finance, Logistics, Operations, and Maintenance in a complex, multi-region environment
+ Demonstrated involvement in data governance, change control, and data quality improvement initiatives at the enterprise level
+ Proficient in SAP S/4HANA master data processes, structures, and interdependencies
+ Skilled in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and general-purpose MDM and reporting tools
+ Familiarity with integration platforms such as SAP BTP and SAP Process Orchestration
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on operational discipline
+ Comfortable managing complexity across global and cross-functional environments
+ Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate between IT and business users
