    Within NVIDIA, the Networking Business Unit is building chips, systems and software that are powering the most sophisticated data center and hyper-converged networks of today and tomorrow. NVIDIA Cumulus Linux is the industry's most innovative open network operating system built with a flexible open architecture and comprehensive automation capabilities! We are now looking for a Networking Software Intern to work on exciting projects in the management framework and infrastructure called NVUE that serves multiple Network Operating systems made by NVIDIA including NVIDIA Cumulus Linux. This framework also integrates with the overall Telemetry solution used by NVIDIA switches comprising of gNMI and Open Telemetry.

    What you’ll be doing:

    + Working on enhancing the pytest framework to automatically qualify the changes to the NVUE

    + Carrying out Performance measurements and improvements to the NVUE based CLI and APIs.

    + Work on translation modules that interface with OpenAPI and OpenConfig.

    + Contribute to the overall quality improvements for NVUE.

    What we need to see:

    + Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a closely related field

    + Strong programming skills, especially in Python and golang. Knowledge of shell scripting.

    + Good understanding of OpenAPI and REST API standards.

    + Familiarity with software development in a Linux environment including the GNU toolset, git etc.

    + Team player with excellent work ethics and good communication skills

    Ways to stand out from the crowd:

    + Good knowledge of Linux internals and Linux networking concepts

    The hourly rate for our interns is 18 USD - 71 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
