Job Description
Join the Water Resources Team at Olsson in the pivotal role of a Geomorphologist. We are in pursuit of a candidate exuding comprehensive expertise in fluvial geomorphology. This role will include researching and analyzing river systems, sediment transport, and landscape evolution. It requires a combination of fieldwork, data analysis, and design collaboration. Seize the opportunity to not only apply but also enrich geomorphologic and engineering principles and practices across an array of challenging assignments. At Olsson, work autonomously and with the support of a team to make significant decisions on engineering intricacies and methods.
Qualifications
You are passionate about:
+ River ecosystems and the opportunity to contribute to the restoration, rehabilitation, and stabilization of rivers and streams and sustainable management of water resources
+ Applying your knowledge of fluvial geomorphology to real-world projects and the chance to engage in hands-on fieldwork and embrace the challenges of working in diverse environmental conditions
+ Working collaboratively with others
+ Having ownership in the work you do
+ Using your talents to positively affect communities
+ Empowering and mentoring others to use their talents
You bring to the team:
+ Master’s or Ph.D. in Geomorphology, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in fluvial geomorphology, river engineering, or related research
+ Experience with GIS, hydraulic modeling, and related modeling software
+ Experience with river restoration design and management projects
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
+ Willingness to conduct fieldwork in various environmental conditions
+ Registration as a professional Geologist or Engineer is a plus
+ Ability to contribute and work well with a team

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, geographic location, skills, education, and internal equity.
Colorado Pay Range
$108,000-$149,000USD
