Chipton-Ross is seeking a Pipe Fitter for a contract opportunity in Marinette, WI.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
Ability to follow directions under intermittent supervision
Experience cutting, threading, or bending pipes to specifications
Ability to lay out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, or related equipment based on blueprints
Skill in assembling or securing pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment by welding, brazing, or threading joints
Ability to measure and mark pipes for cutting or threading
Experience inspecting, examining, or testing installed systems or pipelines using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, or other methods
Ability to plan pipe system layouts, installation, or repair according to specifications
Skill in attaching pipes to walls, structures, or fixtures
Ability to modify, clean, or maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, or related machinery
Skill in cutting or boring holes in structures for pipe system installation
Ability to install automatic controls to regulate pipe systems
Experience shutting off steam, water, or other gases or liquids from pipe sections using valve keys or wrenches
Ability to remove and replace worn components and operate motorized pumps to remove water
Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and solving problems with equipment
Commitment to proper storage and maintenance of equipment
Willingness to engage in highly energetic pursuits on the waterfront
Commitment to maintaining quality, environmental, health, and safety standards
Ability to abide by all organizational policies and procedures
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform pipefitting work on equipment, ship interiors, ship exteriors, and shipyard buildings
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pipe systems and related equipment
Follow proper installation and testing procedures to ensure system integrity and safety
Document inspections and repairs following company standards
Support shipyard operations and waterfront activities as needed
Ensure proper and safe use of all tools and equipment
Participate in required safety and operational training sessions
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Accredited HSD/GED
WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Standard weekday schedule
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
