Employment Services Specialist (ESS)

Rate of pay $19 - $21.50.

Position requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business or related course of study and one year of related experience,

+ or Associates degree program in Human Services, Business or related course of study and two years of related experience

+ or High School diploma with three years of related experience

+ *Driver’s license is required, as well as working vehicle and willingness to drive personal vehicle

Please note: Employment Service Specialists (ESS) working with Job Placement and Supported Employment Services may need additional qualifications, education, training, and/or experience.

Vocational experience or prior work with people with disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities MAY include:

Career search, building pre-employment skills, and helping to maintain successful continued employment.

+ Coach individuals through career exploration, focusing on employment goals & passions

+ Empower individuals with hard and soft skill-building through hands-on curriculums

+ Enhance socialization and community involvement for individuals through active volunteerism

+ Increase independence by aiding in application, resume, and interview preparations

+ Facilitate supportive employment by helping individuals locate and maintain positions

+ Ensure continued success with on-site job coaching

You will support individuals at various locations and places of employment throughout the Mohawk Valley.
